My Old School : Sekolah Global Indo - Asia

Today  I want you guys to know that I had been in this school for 7 years, since I was in prepatory until Primary 6 exactly. Yup, Sekolah Global Indo-Asia is the name. An International school especially for the expatriate students whose parents are working in Batam,Indonesia. But some of the local students, including me, may enter this school. According to our parents willing. :)
Sekolah Global Indo-Asia

Sekolah Global Indo-Asia (SGIA) was founded in 2000 to serve the educational needs of the children of the national and international community living in and around Batam, Indonesia. SGIA is a nonsectarian,non-profit coeducational day school, enrolling students in Pre-School through the 12th Grade. It is a caring, secure environment in which students can develop the skills, confidence and creativity that will help them succeed academically. SGIA is the only International The Baccalaureate World School in Batam offering the Primary Years Programme. SGIA is also the only Cambridge University Exams Centre in Batam. The language of instruction is both English and Indonesian, with Mandarin being offered as an additional language. Students learn English, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science in English, additionally for Indonesian students, the national curriculum is "scaffold" into all subject material and required national subjects are taught in Indonesian. During required national subjects in Indonesian, expatriate students receive an additional language, social studies and life skill classes.

Asking about the tuition fees? No doubt, Parents will need to spend more money in order for the kids to enter this school. In 2001 I remember, My mom said that my school fee is $160 ( Singaporean  Dollars). How about now? You'll guess.

Old photo! this is when I graduated from prepatory. Year 2000 :)

This is me when I was in primary 3. That will be around 2003 I guess. Had a field trip to our drinking water distribution company, ATB ( Adhiya Tirta Batam ).

This is when I am in primary 4.

Then goes to primary 5 :)

This is primary 6. Final Steps before I entered secondary :)

Finally we graduated in a greatful  farewell. I really miss all the moment I spent together with them. Still   remember our school motto "Our journey begins with a single step".
